FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I haven’t exercised for 10 years, is this suitable for me?
Yes, it sure is! Our classes are tailored for all fitness and experience levels. The beautiful thing about Reformer Pilates and our other classes is that you receive a great workout whether you’re super fit, a beginner, a bit self-conscious or just getting back into it. Due to the style of classes, we provide and our small size, we’re able to make sure you exercise in a smart, safe, sensible and enjoyable way while achieving the very best results.
Can I do a workout in your gym without doing a class?
We’re a group exercise studio focussed on community, not a gym where you come and do your own thing. Every session at inLIFE is a guided exercise experience in a group with an instructor leading the way. So no, you can’t come along at any time and do your own workout.
I’ve never done Reformer Pilates before, will I be ok?
Of course! Around 90% of new members haven’t done Reformer Pilates before, and they take to it like a duck to water. We guide each new member through a private Reformer Pilates workout in a 1-on-1 introductory session. After that, you’ll feel comfortable and confident in joining one of our group classes.
Do your memberships have contracts and is there a cancellation period if I need to stop?
We don’t have contracts, and if you need to stop coming for any reason just send us an email and we will pop a hold on everything immediately. We want you to come along to the studio because you want to be there – not because we’ve tied you down. Also, if you are ever away on holiday or can’t come to the studio for a week or more for any reason just let us know and we can place your membership on hold while you’re out of action.
I want to build muscle, are low-impact classes enough?
We find that the number of members who want to build muscle is very small, and if muscular development is your main goal, then you might be better off in a commercial gym lifting heavier weights. We can get you strong in ways you can’t even imagine, and you’ll discover muscles in places where you didn’t know you had them! Low impact is enough to build muscle if you’re performing it at a high intensity. So it depends on your muscle-building goals.
